The weather:
Sunshine on the Saronic Gulf is expected during the season, with temperatures ranging range from the low to mid 20s in early and late season and up to the high 30s between June and September.
Sailing conditions are generally low to moderate.

The Saronic Gulf flotilla
The one-week Saronic Gulf flotilla includes visits to five of the following ports:
Methana, Vathi, Palaia Epidavros, Nea Epidavros, Korfos, Agistri, Aegina Town, and Perdika.
The itinerary is designed to cover daily distances of 10 to 20 nautical miles, with a maximum of seven yachts participating.

The Argolic gulf Route

The Argolic Gulf flotilla
The one-week Argolic Gulf flotilla includes visits to five of the following ports, along with one overnight stay in a bay (weather permitting): Ermioni, Tyros, Nafplion, Astros, Tolo, Koiladha, Porto Heli, Dhokos (Bay), Agios Nikolaos (Bay), and Kapari Bay. The itinerary is planned to cover daily distances of 10 to 28 nautical miles, with a maximum of seven yachts participating

Routes may vary due to weather conditions.

You may combine the Saronic Gulf with the Argolic Gulf for a two week flotilla holiday.

How to reach Poros charter base

Most visitors arrive at Athens International Airport and continue their journey to Poros either via Piraeus, the port of Athens, or by road. The most popular route is from Piraeus, using the ‘Flying Dolphin’ hydrofoil or ‘Flying Cat’ high-speed catamaran services.
Alternatively, you can drive via Corinth, crossing the famous canal, to Galatas, a village on the mainland opposite Poros. From Galatas, it’s just a five-minute ferry ride across the channel to reach Poros.

  • Ferry: duration 90-120 minutes
  • Fast ferry: duration 60-75 minutes

Getting from Athens Airport to Piraeus

  • Bus X96: The Athens airport to Piraeus port Bus X96 runs 24/7 every 30 minutes
  • Private taxi or minivan transfer: Athens International Airport to Piraeus port. Duration 60-70 minutes depending on the traffic.
  • Proastiakos Train: There is a train from Athens Airport to Athens central station and then to Piraeus port, which you may book on arrival in airport.
    The trains you have to get is line 3 of Proastiakos.- Athens airport to Athens Central- Yellow line on the chart below - Proastiakos and then Athens to Piraeus port - Purple line on the charter below.
    Daily Itineraries every 36 minutes, from 06:10 am to 11:34 pm
    Duration: 60 minutes and Price around 9 € per person per way.
